In a one week summer camp with coaching from professionals they develop new ideas for breakthrough innovation and present their business plan on July 24th. The best team wins the Merck Innovation Cup and €20,000.

In a formal ceremony the sites of major achievements by notable chemists are being designated as Historic Chemical Landmarks (Historische Stätte der Chemie). In 2018, our Pützerturm tower, the iconic entrance to the Merck manufacturing facilities, will be honored with a prize from the German Society of Scientific Chemists (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker).
